Associate Attorney - Municipal & Litigation Practice Group

Salzmann Hughes, P.C., a regional law firm in South Central Pennsylvania, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with 1 to 3+ years of experience to be a member of the firm’s Municipal & Litigation Practice Groups. The Candidate must have excellent academic credentials, a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a team environment. Experience in local government law, land use and drafting legal documents as well as general litigation experience is preferred. The position will provide legal representation to the firm’s various municipal clients related to all aspects of municipal law including land use, litigation, legislation, personnel, code enforcement and transactional matters. The position requires the ability to attend evening meetings. Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar is required.

The Clerk is expected to work in a manner that upholds the Mission, Vision, and Operating Principles of The 39th Judicial District, in compliance with the Rules of the Court’s Procedures in Criminal, Civil, Family, Juvenile and Orphans’ Court divisions, and in
adherence to the Unified Judicial System’s policies and Code of Conduct.

MidPenn Legal Services is a non-for-profit law firm that provides free civil legal services, to indigent clients, in eighteen counties throughout central Pennsylvania. We represent clients in a wide variety of practice areas including but not limited to, family law, mortgage foreclosure, landlord and tenant law, unemployment compensation, debt collection, benefits, expungements and record sealing, and social security.
MidPenn is open to qualified interns ranging from law students to high school students. Opportunities for certified legal internships exist, for law students meeting, those requirements. Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with our attorneys, interact with clients, and preform legal work commensurate with their skills.
