In celebration of Constitution Day and America250, the Franklin County Bar Foundation partnered with the 39th Judicial District to invite area school-aged children to showcase their creativity through the 2026 Constitution Day art contests. America250 commemorates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and celebrates America’s Semiquincentennial.

We received 80 coloring pages featuring Officer Dudley from students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The artwork was on display on the first floor of the Franklin County Judicial Center near Court Administration. Through a random drawing, prizes were awarded to Mark, a third-grade student from Waynesboro; Lucy and Grayson, first-grade students from Chambersburg; & Lillian, a second-grade student from Shippensburg.

Second-place honors went to Ireland, a sixth-grade student from Chambersburg, and Adelai, a seventh-grade student from Shippensburg. Third-place honors went to Vincent, an eighth-grade student from Chambersburg, and Nicholas, a sixth-grade student from Chambersburg.

Congratulations to Hailey Boley, a senior at Greencastle-Antrim High School and the winner of our high school art contest! Hailey’s painting thoughtfully and creatively illustrates “What the U.S. Constitution Means to Me.” We appreciate the time, effort, and care she invested in her submission. Her painting was displayed at the Constitution Day observance and will remain on display in the courthouse following the celebration for members of our community to enjoy.
